There was “nothing wrong” with the relationship, he explained on Wednesday (October 4th) in the talk “In Depth With Graham Bensinger”. The actor looked back: “We had a great time. I think we somehow outgrew each other and had very different interests.” So it was very difficult for him to be in the spotlight. “I don’t think I’ve ever really felt comfortable with it all. I’m just not the type of person who feels comfortable on red carpets and doing all the Hollywood things.”
The “Transformers” star admitted that he missed “the simplicity of his personality” during the relationship. That’s why he tried to convince the former Black Eyed Peas singer to move to his home state of North Dakota. But the life he wanted in the Midwest wasn’t for Fergie, who grew up in Southern California.

“I have no hard feelings about it. I really don’t,” he said. “I’m very lucky that she’s a friendly person.” So they both pull together when it comes to raising their son Axl Jack (10).
But Duhamel realized his dream of returning to his homeland. He bought a house on the lake. “Having this place out here helps my career because I can become who I really am again.” He also found a new love. After a three-year relationship, he married the model Audra Mari (29) in September 2022. The couple announced last month that they are expecting their first child together. “Baby Duhamel is coming soon,” they wrote alongside ultrasound images.
Duhamel’s ex-wife also commented on the baby news: “I’m really happy for you, Axl can’t wait to be a big brother.” In contrast to him, Fergie has not been seen with a new partner since the separation.
The singer and the actor married in 2009. Their son was born four years later, and the couple separated in 2017. The divorce took place in 2019.
