Celine Dion has had to cancel her world tour completely because of a nervous illness

On Instagram, Celine Dion announced the decision to cancel her world tour. The reason for this is the stiff person syndrome, an incurable nervous disease from which she suffers.

Celine Dion apologizes via Instagram for tour cancellation

In her statement, Dion wrote: “I’m so sorry to disappoint you all again. I’m working really hard to regain my strength, but tours can be very difficult even when you’re at 100 percent. It’s not fair to you guys to keep postponing shows and while it breaks my heart, it’s best to cancel everything now until I’m really ready to get back on stage. I want you all to know that I’m not giving up… and I can’t wait to see you guys again!”

Several concerts in Germany are also affected by the cancellation of their “Courage” world tour. The Canadian should have performed on March 19, 2024 in Cologne, on March 21 in Berlin, on March 23 in Munich, on March 31 in Hamburg and on April 2 in Mannheim.

Celine Dion suffers from stiff person syndrome

The neurological condition that Dion suffers from and has forced her to cancel her performances is called Stiff Person Syndrome. It primarily causes muscle cramps. In the case of the singer, it is primarily the legs that are affected, but also the vocal cords, which significantly limits her performance on tour.
