200 Million Euro Tourist Project to be Constructed in Tripoli

Libyan senior officials last Sunday brook the ground signaling the start of constructing a big tourist project at Hay Al-Andalus area in Tripoli.

The project, which is a joint investment between the Libyan Economic and Social Development Fund and a Swiss holding company, is expected to provide 1000 jobs for Libyan workers. The cost of the project is 200 million Euros.

The Libyan partner holds 30 per cent of the shares while the Swiss company holds 70 per cent of the shares for seventy years.

The project includes the construction of a five-star hotel with 600 rooms, shopping centers, meeting halls, offices, a theater and recreation halls.

The tourist project which is to be built on area of four hectares will also have a marina for 250 yachts.
