PM El-Keeb Flies to Benghazi to Participate in the Revolution Day Celebrations

The official event to commemorate the February 17 revolution in Libya is to be held in the eastern city of Benghazi where it all began. It will be attended by all the prominent figures including the prime minister Abdurrahim el-Keeb, who has already reached Benghazi, and the head of the National Transitional Council, Mustafa Abdul-Jalil.

Friday will mark the first year anniversary of the bloody revolution that toppled dictator Gaddafi from power.

The emotions are high in the streets of different cities with people wanting to celebrate their victory and to honour the martyrs of the revolution. Many different events have been planned on different levels.
