Libyan Leader's Only Daughter Addresses Tripoli Crowd
15/04/2011 10:57:00
Ayesha Al Qathafi, the Libyan leader's only daughter addressing the crowd in Tripoli

As if to show the world that she too, like all members of the Al Qathafi family are still in Libya, early Friday morning the Libyan leader's only daughter, 35-year-old Ayesha, a lawyer by profession, delivered a defiant message to hundreds of supporters from her father's compound at Bab al-Aziziya in the Libyan capital, Tripoli.

This must have been the only time that Ayesha has publicly come out in full support of her father. To anti-NATO slogans and dancing by the gathering to Arabic music, she addressed the crowd from the second floor balcony of the compound that a few days ago was targeted by NATO airstrikes.

She compared the current NATO strikes on Libya to the 1986 bombing. She said: “They dropped their rockets and bombs on us (in 1986), and they tried to kill me. They killed tens of children in Libya, and now, after a quarter of a century the same rockets and bombs are falling on the heads of my children and your children.

“Leave us alone. Take your aircraft and missiles and leave us alone,” she said

Ayesha, who is also the head of the charity Wa Attassimou, said: “The idea of Colonel Al Qathafi stepping down is an outrage to all Libyans. Al Qathafi is not only in Libya but also in the hearts of the Libyans.”

Ayesha's speech was broadcast live on Libyan television to mark the 25th anniversary of American strikes on the huge residential compound, which includes military barracks, by the Reagan administration on April 15, 1986.

On that day at least 100 people were killed after around 66 American jets, bombed targets in the Libyan capital, Tripoli, and the Benghazi region. The Al-Aziziya compound took a direct hit that killed the Libyan leader's adopted baby daughter, Hanna .

Ayesha was appointed as the United Nations Development Program National ‎Goodwill Ambassador for Libya on July 24, 2009, primarily to address the issues of HIV/AIDS, poverty and women rights in Libya, but soon a week after the uprising started in February, like the rest of the Al Qathafi family, she was placed under a travel ban on February.

That ban followed the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1970 . In the same month the United Nations also stripped Ayesha of her role as a goodwill ambassador.

Meanwhile, a few hours after NATO conducted air strikes on Tripoli, a defiant Muammar Al Qathafi was being driven along the streets of Tripoli leading a carcade of supporters, the scenes were also broadcast on Libyan state television.

You cannot take away from a Nation or alter a Nation by Force! have, have you not learned about the History of Civilization. It will reclaim what is lost, when you have departed.
Leave Libya only to sort out her own problems out,and bring forth a solution that is good for Libya and not those with their own secret ambition's.

Wow, please Lord send us some diplomats that will stand with us. All of ours are trying to hide from the radiation behind a wall or in conditioned rooms. Can we do like with cars and do a swap thing. Baraka Hussein Abu oumama wants Africa, so can we please have Colonel Muammar Gaddafi here? I have a long to-do list. We thought our President was born in the USA, but I guess someone lied to us. Why don’t those doctors just hand over those birth records and then Baraka Hussein Abu oumama can rule His Land in North Africa and His Father can take over rule here. You can have one, or the other, but not both. Someone needs to make up their minds. Look at what all of our Families are going through. Look at this beautiful girl. She has been through so much in life. Why are there missiles flying into a no fly zone? There shouldn’t be anything flying there but birds of a feather. Please stop this war that is a cover up for the rest of the World’s past mistakes that are leaking radiation and toxins all over the place. Please stop this war! Please stop attacking the experienced Leaders of this World! We will beneeding their help very soon with all of these disasters taking place.
