Saif Al-Islam Meet US Secretary of State in Washington

Saif Al-Islam Al-Qadafi, Chairman of the Gaddafi Foundation, met on Thursday the US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice at her office in Washington where both held talks that focused on bilateral relations between Libya and the United States.

State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said Rice hosted Gaddafi's son's, Saif al-Islam, at her Washington office, indicating a further warming of ties between the former foes.

"They talked about the broad range of US-Libya relations. They also talked about developments within Libya itself," said McCormack of the meeting.

Earlier on Tuesday, Saif Al-Islam held talks with top senior officials at the White House in another sign of improved US-Libyan relations.
He met with Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs David Welch and the US National Security Advisor.
